February 1913. Rare early edition of this oft-imitated monthly magazine for children. Unpaginated. Loaded with stories and poems and songs and wonderful illustrations in red and black ink. Plus several pages of advertising in back. Stiff wrappers decorated with blue and red ink. Covers and pages are browned, otherwise clean, no writing or marks inside, but an inscription on the front cover reading: "For a queen who's very hair is of shining gold." Corners of covers are worn and one is creased, also corners of first two pages are torn, minor foxing on back cover, two light stains on front cover. Stapled binding very good - no pages loose or missing.
