Robin's egg-blue cloth boards with blue stamping. The copy is cocked forward. Covers display light soiling/discoloration at edges and backstrip; there is also some foxing along the hinges on either side of the spine. Head and heel of spine are bumped with some light rubbing. Lower corners are also bumped and creased. Two stained splotches on top edge bleed slightly onto tops of pages 61-178. PP. 205-207 feature large diagonal creases with some small tears along fore-edge, pp209 features matching tears, Deckled edges with some foxing in seams pp 9-11, and also some browning stemming from hinges pasted and free-end pages, front and back. Overall, a copy with a somewhat relazxed, but fully intact binding, with clean. reasonably bright pages, despite the expected shows of age and minor wear and tear. Dj has some spotting/spoling, and is beginning to brown., and is heavily worn overall, especially at edges. This includes significant chips along all edges and seams, as well as multiple creases and tears averaging around half an inch long. There is a longer chipped/torn area, about 2 3/4 inches in length that runs along the crease of the front dustflap, starting at bottom edge and working its way up.Top and bottom of spine, as well as rear top corner are also significantly chipped away.
